Saints or Animals (Dt. 9:15-16)

Every person will ultimately live out one of two life roads. Either he chooses to follow the tablets that God handcrafted on the mountain or he embraces the worldly substitute, hastily sculpted by human hands. Ultimately, the first elevates man's character to that of a saint; the second lowers his behavior to that of an animal.
(Dt. 9:15-16, So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands. And I looked , and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.)

Shattering Insight?

5/22/2013

With a show of shattering insight, skeptics scorn the writings of Moses with, "How could God possibly feed all those people in the desert?"
I think few of them have read the context! They weren't the first to think that. Moses' own initial response was, "Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?"
The Lord proceeded to answer him with words and action.
Let's learn to believe.
(Numbers 11:22)

Construction logic

Hebrews 3:4 succinctly gives the age-old reasoning for a Creator. We use the argument often with atheists/evolutionists, but here it is in Scripture. If you see a building, you know it had a builder. For that exact reason, when man interacts with the creation his mind will naturally look for a Creator. The logic in this verse is clear, undebatable . . . powerful. Use it!
(For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.)

Ancient tricks

Acts 19:11-16. The spiritual descendants of these Jews are still around today. They crank up ministries built on questionable technics and crowd gathering tricks with no real knowledge of the Master who has the power.
